Mia Moravis is a Tony®- and three-time Emmy®-nominated producer, a Remi® Award-winning filmmaker (Seeking Heat, about the international artists on David Byrneʼs Luaka Bop label), an award-winning actress, and 27-time ASCAP PLUS Award-winning songwriter. She is also a Producer of the upcoming documentary, Sweet Harmony: The Manhattan Transfer, directed by Oscar® nominee, Miles Mogulescu. Mia is Producer of the GRAMMY®-nominated album, Aquamarine (Kirsten Agresta-Copely) ~ Best New Age, Ambient, or Chant Album (the Grammy Awards® are February 4, 2024).

Mia is a Judge for multiple genres of the Primetime, Daytime, CAFE, and News and Documentary Emmy® Awards; a Voting Member of The Recording Academy®/GRAMMYs® since 1993, and serves on the Board of Governors–NY Chapter, and its DEI and Musical Theater Task Forces; an Executive-, Co-, and Associate Producer at GRAMMY-winning Broadway Records (including the GRAMMY-nominated MY FAIR LADY and CAROLINE, OR CHANGE Broadway revival cast recordings); Co-Producer Off-Broadway of YOU’RE A GOOD MAN, CHARLIE BROWN, and was Van Dean’s Producing Partner for ANASTASIA The Musical~Broadway, and the ANASTASIA US Tour. Mia was also on Mr. Dean’s producing team of the US Tour and Broadway production of THE LIGHTNING THIEF: THE PERCY JACKSON MUSICAL, and is a Tony-nominated Producer of the Tony®- and GRAMMY-winning JAGGED LITTLE PILL~Broadway, and a Producer of the new musical, LITTLE DANCER~Broadway and West End (2024), about the dancer who inspired Degas. Mia served as Producing Partner for COMPANY~Broadway, starring Patti LuPone and Katrina Lenk, and Arlene Scanlon’s Producing Partner on SING STREET~Broadway/West End (2024). Mia was on the Producing Team of BE MORE CHILL~Broadway and West End, and a Co-Producer of BROADWAY BOUNTY HUNTER Off-Broadway, starring Annie Golden. Mia also served as Producer Off-Broadway for Bedlam’s PERSUASION. Also on the West End, she was a Producing Team member of DreamWorks Animation/DreamWorks Theatricals’ THE PRINCE OF EGYPT, the cast recording of which was nominated for a GRAMMY.

Mia is the Co-Producer of Broadway Records’ release, I Have A Voice and of #ArtistsForTheArts With A Little Help From My Friends (recordings and videos), and of the CD and DVD of the Emmy Award-winning From Broadway With Love~Broadway For Orlando. Her own musical concert, SESSION GIRLS The Musical, debuted March 6, 2018 at Feinstein’s/54 Below, and featured 11 Broadway-credited/Tony-nominated performers, the cast recording of which is released on Broadway Records, and produced by GRAMMY Nominee Michael J. Moritz, Jr. (available at all major music outlets). Mia is Co-Executive Producer of the world premiere GRAMMY-nominated STEPHEN SCHWARTZ’S SNAPSHOTS, and Associate Producer of the CAROLINE, OR CHANGE Broadway revival cast recording, both on Broadway Records.

Mia is a recording artist on Gotham Records UK; her Celtic Music EP, DUNOON, features the multi-award-winning song, Shakespeare And Me. She is heard, along with GRAMMY winner Janis Ian, Vickie Carrico, and Mother Earthʼs Tracy Nelson, on UK bluesman Trevor Sewellʼs album Calling Nashville, and on Broadway Records’ Hero—the TYCE album of epic Jim Steinman songs. Mia was heard for three consecutive seasons in featured roles in multiple audio theatre works in high rotation on iHeartRadioʼs iRead2Know and iHeartFamily. For StoryLight Podcast, Mia imparts 11 different character voices whilst narrating The Devoted Friend, by Oscar Wilde, and she is co-adaptor, director, and producer of MANYDOWN, a Jane Austen fictional audio theatre piece narrated by Tony nominee, Lilli Cooper.
